Friends it is Sunday awesome Sunday once again and it is SAWEET to be given the opportunity by our God to make the most of it. Today, like everyday, is a day of worship, singing songs of praise, fellowshipping with brothers and sisters, laughing, and encouraging one another. The sun shall soon rise high! Make the most of it friend! Our LORD is awesome and everlasting!!

That inflation is and will be so bad that people who shop at Walmart, including yours truly, will be unable to buy anything from there 12 months from now except white bread, peanut butter, and gasoline, because every other item on their shelves will be an unattainable luxury, "(And no I am not exaggerating) unless we take steps to protect ourselves from the silent thief of inflation. Greece

Greece is "the canary in the coal mine", when it comes to what transpires when rising prices(inflation) coexist with a global "recession".  Greece is experiencing the same bad effects that America is experiencing except the Greeks have a large head start on us.  

Greece has horrible debt problems, a lethargic economy, high unemployment, a youth base that is heavily unemployed and thus has a lot of free time on its hands, and political leaders that will not take the bitter medicine necessary to tackle their debt woes. Thus, Greece has come to fit more and more the label of a banana republic, yet is popularly described as a "developed, european country".

Here is video detailing events that are happening in Keratea, a city of 15,000 close to Athens. 

Even larger and more disastrous are these clashes that took place in Athens last year(Athens the capital city of Greece)

We can only hope that our elected public officials can turn our country around from the horrible policies that resulted in these events transpiring in Greece. As of now, they have not. Our Treasury Department is expected to issue 99,000,000,000 dollars in new debt next week.

It's Getting Serious

The speed and rapidity at which the United States dollar is breaking down is startling. It is with great sadness that I write this post. The dollar is crumbling and everything that we pay for is going to get very expensive. Everyday items that we take for granted are about to become precious. Splurges like going to the movies, taking a trip to the theme park are about to become almost out of reach for millions of Americans who could easily afford it only yesterday. It's getting serious and these foreboding things that I speak of I believe, Lord willing, could unfold over the next 12 months. PROTECT YOURSELVES NOW! PROTECT YOURSELVES NOW PLEASE!  Today, has seen a monumental drop in the dollar!!! Here is a chart of the United States dollar....

Here is a shorter time frame chart of the dollar over the last two weeks...

The dollar has broke down, guess what has gone UP...

Oil UP 2.72% today at $111.00 per barrel

Rice is UP 2.19% today 

Wheat is UP 1.58% today at $8.35 per bushel

Silver is UP 2.66% today at $45.10 per ounce

Friends everything is going up, please do not wait 12 months from now to prepare, because by then it very well could be too late.

Housing Completions Hit New All Time Low

The housing market continues to tread water in yet another sign that the "robust recovery" we have been in since June of 2009 is not all its cracked up to be. Our Treasury Department will continue to issue more debt and our Federal Reserve will continue to print money out of thin air until these charts turn around. To do this will be highly inflationary. Chalk one up for the Longhorn's! Hook'em Horns!! No, I'm not a die hard UT fan, though I do root for em against almost everybody. But today we find out that the Longhorn's just made a SAVVY financial move that should ensure that Austin continues to hold sway. From Bloomberg- "The University of Texas Management Company, the second largest US academic endowment, took delivery of almost $1 billion in gold bullion and is storing the bars in a New York vault, according to the funds board".

Like Forfeiting Up 10-1 in the 2nd Inning

Yup, that is what Goldman Sachs just did. They just forfeited the baseball game up 10 to 1 in the second inning. They just pulled the most risky move a bank could make today. They told their clients to sell all of their commodity holdings that have been super profitable over the last year. Why?? Because they think that commodity prices will be lower in 3-6 months than they are today.  We'll see.......

The Crown of Immortals

To win the race, to be first, to stand out, to receive applause, to live, we all long for these things. We all strive for the best, the strongest and train ourselves to achieve these honorable things.   Good things come from rigorous training and sweet victory.  Whether its overcoming a phobia of pubic speaking in the workplace or training to win the intramural basketball tourney, being given the prize of success is SAWEET!

But what is the ultimate prize?? The olympian, whether they get first in the dangerous downhill slalom or in ice curling; or take the javelin thrower who throws the javelin 150 yards like a champ. The medals and trophies awarded to these champions are worthless compared to the everlasting prize that Christians receive for following and obeying the LORD.  That gold medal at the winter olympics- is nothing more than a base medal disc with the thinnest wash of gold plating. The Stanley Cup trophy pictured to the right above, has so many chips and dents in it that it only looks smooth, shimmering and immaculate from afar.  

           But not the crown of righteousness!! The crown that Christians are given after holding true to the LORD receive an everlasting crown that is worn on the heads of immortals, saved by the grace of the living God. This crown is pure and it will not fade or tarnish or chip. It shall stay bright and shining for ever and ever! What trophy are you wanting? What prize and glory or you longing for?? 

Train to receive the crown of righteousness. The crown for immortals.  As the apostle Paul states when he wrote to Timothy, a young man who was preaching the Good News to the citizens of Ephesus, 

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Queen Esther: Part One

Ever wonder what it takes to become Miss America?  Or for that matter Miss Universe?  Sure these women wear ribbons around themselves exclaiming that "I'm from California" or "I'm from Jorzey". We see it, but who are they really? What was their family life like?  Was their upbringing hard? Were they always the star of their societies??  
        Well, such was the life story of Esther, a common Hebrew girl who would end up becoming queen of the Persian Empire, the largest the world had ever seen!

Arguably, Esther was the most beautiful girl in the world at the time in 479B.C..  King Xerxes of Persia thought so.  Furthermore, her story in how she courageously saved the Hebrew people from annihilation and extermination is one of gorgeous daring.  And also shows how our LORD works in the lives of individuals and people of power for the benefit of his followers.  

         Esther's story begins with her being motherless and fatherless, and thus being raised by Mordecai, her cousin, who was from the Hebrew tribe of Benjamin. Yet, this was not the only thing peculair about Esther's upbringing. For she was not a Hebrew living in the suburbs of Jerusalam when her beauty was noticed. But was living in Susa, the capital city of Persia.  

        For at this time the Hebrews were a broken race.  Absolutely crushed by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon years before, the Hebrews were forced to migrate throughout the Babylonian Empire and live in other areas other than Canaan, very much like our own Native Americans' 'Trail of Tears'.  It was humiliating and Esther was very much, living in a strange land.  Thus, she and Mordecai were minorities, dwelling in a city filled with new Persian dominators.  Her upbringing was not an easy one, to say the least, and we can probably say that there was no silver spoon to speak of.

       Yet, being from a people that was beaten and a race that was scattered and small did not stop Esther and Mordecai from obeying and following their God, our LORD. 

       So now I will leave you with the proclamation that brought Esther from obscurity to the center of the universe. It was the decree that went to every corner of Empire.  It was THE casting call to be Miss Universe! More later on the amazing story of Esther, if the Lord is willing. Perhaps THE BEST GRAPH of whether gold is cheap or expensive.  You decide if there is HUGE upside potential for this precious metal to protect your savings against the ravages of inflation.  Compliments to the fine folks at international French bank, Societe Generale.

Notice above the green asterick, the little dip in the red line at the end of the graph.  And  SEE THIS, BELIEVE THIS. That from 2008 through 2011 gold has risen 94%, yet the amount of our currency backed by gold has not doubled as well, but fallen! And fallen by half!!

Who do you say?  This man's name might be obscure to us, but his wisdom is spot on!  Most of Proverbs is filled with maxims and guidelines of integrity written by King Solomon, the wisest of the wise, yet our brother in Christ, Agur, also followed and obeyed the same God that we and Solomon do. Our living and everlasting LORD!  Pretty profound stuff my friends. Check it....and discern.......

A HUGE RECOMMENDATION-  Want to see the greatest real chariot race in the history of Hollywood? Or for that matter since the days of the Circus Maximus of the Roman Empire?  Then watch Ben Hur.  An epic movie that covers the life of our Savior and the gut wrenching tale of a common Hebrew during the time of Christ.  Overall, a good visual representation of the struggle in all of us that pits arrogance and revenge against forgiveness, mercy, and humility.  Truly epic and worth watching. Check it....

Ahhhh where to begin......... This congressman made a slip up, BIG TIME.

Three--The frailty of our "financial system". Believe me, its still this weak.  Can you say 5 smooth trillion~ $5,000,000,000,000.00

The congressman spoke these words as the world was unraveling after Lehman Brothers fell. The only way our government officials know how to fix the system is to cover it over in inflation, massive inflation.......And by the way, yesterday corn hit an all time high of $7.66 a bushel. Gold hit a all time high of $1458.00 an ounce, and silver hit a 31 year high of $39.40 an ounce.  




P.S. It should be stated that after this interview, this small time, old timer congressman was promptly debriefed to never say anything like this again...or else. Why? Because nobody talks about what the Federal Reserve does. Nobody
