Tomorrow: O Yeah!

We all have plans, meetings, trips, vacations and dates to look forward to. Yet, deep down how certain are we that they will happen.  That lunch planned for tomorrow is FO SHO, or that vacation this summer is going to be SAWEET! But, are these things promised to us?  Are we powerful or good enough to say that nothing bad will happen to us between this moment and then?  Will something or somebody never get in the way and bring our plans to shucks?  Because we are mere mortals, let us remember that tomorrow is not promised to anybody.  Not the President, not the retired millionaire, not the patient worker who works two jobs, not me, not you, not even my hounddog. Therefore, everyday we are able to enjoy the sunshine and make plans to enjoy yet still more! Let us remember what James wrote to us concerning the future, 

Now listen you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."  Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.  What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag.                 John Paulson

              The darling of Wall Street whose managed funds are the most prestigious in the world.  Took massive risk leading up into the financial crisis of 2008 by making big bets that subprime housing would rollover. His bets paid off. In 2007 he received according to The Wall Street Journal, a 15 billion dollar windfall in the housing panic.  Paulson now manages multiple global hedge funds that are all betting on future inflation/reflation.  His single largest fund, totaling billions, is fully invested in gold mining companies and the largest gold exchange traded fund GLD. It matched gold bullion’s rise returning 31% in 2010. It is rumored that the former Chairman of Federal Reserve himself, Alan Greenspan, is counseling Paulson on golds future price movements. 

Jim Rogers

Legendary investor who has been hailed by Time Magazine as the “Indiana Jones of Finance”.  Puts his money where his mouth is and is brashly outspoken.  Has called the policies of the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department as “ones of madness”.  Has openly stated that our only fiscal policy solution currently is to print and print our way to prosperity.  Roger’s stated on CNBC multiple times in 2010 that agriculture is about to experience 10-15 years of boom-times. Told numerous news anchors that they should trade in their Maserati’s for tractors because they would make more money doing so.  When asked in October if he could only buy one thing what would it be? Rogers replied, “I am a buyer of silver and of rice”.

George Soros

               Investor whose career is the stuff of myth.  In 1992 he single handedly “broke the British Pound” by forcing the government of Great Britian, then one of the largest economies in the world to drop its currency peg, reaping a billion dollar windfall in a matter of days.  During the 1970’s when the world was battling stagflation Soros’s hedge fund Quantum returned over 2000% in ten years.  In 2009 he doubled his holdings in the largest gold exchange traded fund GLD whose total notional value is now over 5 billion USD.  Has called gold the “ulitimate bubble” yet still continues to pile capital into the gold sector as he sees massive returns in the years ahead.  Has used his multi-billion net worth to finance socialist organizations and leftist agendas around the world.

This graph is a real stinker. Its pure baloney what our US Government is feeding us these days as truth. To wit:  If our Government says that we exited recession in June of 2009 and have been in recovery ever since, why have millions more citizens been falling into Food Stamps and been unable to pay for basic food????                   

           Also friends, this is why inflation will only continue to get worse and worse and worse. Because our US Government continues to print, print, print, print more money to give citizens for unemployment benefits, insurance, food stamps, bank bailouts, state bailouts(think California), and most of all QE. 

          Friends protect yourselves by buying cold hard metal...not cash, not casino chips, not Certificates of Deposit. No, the real deal shiny stuff.  P.S. Sunday Awesome Sunday

It's Sunday awesome Sunday.  Like every other day, its our Lord's day. A day of worship, of singing songs of praise, and of learning more about the greatness of our Maker. It's also a day of enjoying food with family and friends, of sharing stories and lots of laughs. So enjoy today friends. The sun is rising high! Make the most of it!  

Everything Under the Sun

Listed below are the price increases of everything under the sun. (or at least everything traded in the Chicago and New York commodity pits. Notice how everything is going UP...

....and how the only 2 things down were our US dollar and the Japanese stock market. And yes that sickly looking USD red bar on the chart is the same cash greenbacks that we get paid in and put in our bank accounts. :(

One silver ounce costs $37.70. The same cost, more or less, of 2 new release DVD's at Walmart. But the real question is, In 6 months how much will those DVD's be worth? .......And how much will that ounce of silver be worth? $50.00?  $60.00?  ......how about a year from now, maybe $100+?

Friends protect yourselves and your savings, and if the Lord is willing make a little profit along the way.

A Mighty Hero

The Lord gave 

and the Lord has taken away

May the name of the Lord 

be praised!

        These words were spoken by the greatest among men of the East. Singled out by Satan personally for ruin, Job’s destruction was absolute.  In one stroke calamity befell him. The Sabaens attacked his household and carried off his oxen and donkeys putting his servants to the sword. In the same day, the fire of God fell from the sky and burned up his expansive flocks of sheep and his servants. While the Chaldeans, a race related to Babylon, formed three raiding parties to put his servants to the sword and carry off his camels. 

          Furthermore, as soon as these events were reported to him, a grief stricken servant rushed to tell him that a mighty wind struck the four corners of the house that his sons and daughters were feasting at and that it collapsed, killing them all. Yet, Satan was not done. Petitioning directly to God, Satan boasted that if he could strike Job’s flesh, surely Job would curse God to his face. Thus, it transpired that after all that had happened, Job was inflicted with painful sores that oozed and weeped from head to toe. Sitting among the ashes of his house scraping himself with a pottery shard, his own wife mocked him for holding true to his Lord. When his three wealthy friends saw Job laying there among the destruction they tore their robes and began to weep aloud. They sat in the ashes with Job for seven days and seven nights. Yet, in all this, the Lord did not forget Job and remembered his faithfulness and integrity. Thus, The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.  And he also had seven sons and three daughters. The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.  

            Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers. After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.  And so he died, old and full of years. Remember this friend! Those that serve the Lord are not forgotten. The great Defender, for those that obey Him, turns tragedy into triumph! Serve the Lord!

....And that was just the super condensed summary of Job's story.  I left out a lot of awesome parts.  Personally one of my favorite stories in all the Bible, Job's strength is more than herculean.  Read more, to discover why God found fault with Job. Centurion Detail

Grizzled commanders of the Roman legion, these men were carved from wood.  Centurions led, as their name suggests, 100 armored troops into the thick of battle.  Furthermore, these troops were not born leaders, but made.  Only through battle after battle were they tempered hard enough to not only control themselves when death was right in front of them, but also instill confidence and valor in the troops under them. In most Roman armies throughout the Empire centurions were made up of soldiers from the provinces. They were mostly Greek, Gallic, German, or Iberian, for by the time of Christ fewer and fewer were from the seven hills of Rome.  
           

           Unlike the legates and tribunes, who mostly commanded campaigns on horseback and were removed from the life and death struggle between Romans and "barbarians", centurions were right in the middle of the maelstrom.  
          As such, centurions demanded that orders be given and obeyed with promptness and courage. The centurion that Jesus spoke too while in Capernaum was just such a man, he expected orders he gave to be obeyed with diligence and speed. For as he confidently exclaimed to Jesus,

Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, "Go" and he goes; and to that one "Come", and he comes. I say to my servant, "Do this", and he does it.     Luke 7:6-8

Such words of faith amazed Jesus. Because the centurion knew the power of Jesus. 

--The centurion, even though he was a commander of men, was humble. For he said, "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof".

--The centurion knew that Christ could heal immediately, powerfully, and completely. "But say the word, and my servant will be healed".

--The centurion's faith was strong. He did not have to see to believe. He knew his faith was not misplaced.

I hope this post helps to elucidate the background of this centurion who's faith was looked favorably upon by our great Defender.  

Where's Athena?

Where is she?  At one time she was the great goddess of wisdom and war, but now we never hear of her. Today, nobody speaks her name, no men offer prayers to her for a safe journey, no women come to her sacred temple asking for blessings and favor, no children are taught to respect her name. Why? Because today, along with a few artistic reproductions, this is all that's left of her...

...That's it, all that's left can be found in some old museum and on some nameless library shelf. But, what about RA, the great sun god of mighty Egypt?? Yup, he has suffered the same fate as Athena. His temples lay buried under the sandstorms of the Egyptian desert, and his images and statues are carefully displayed in London as spectacles for the curious passerby to exhibit.  

           And so it is with the gods of the Philistines, the Babylonians, the Comanches, the Spartans, the Romans, the Aztecs and the Vikings. All of their gods are buried in mud and sand and their followers are no more!!

           But not the LORD! He lives and he shall live forever and ever! His followers and servants are alive and prospering. They carry His Word and do His Will and faithfully proclaim His Way to their children, friends and strangers.  

           In fact, the Lord's faithful have always lived! They were there during the time of Babylon, the days of Ra, and they outlasted the Spartans. Know this friend! Those that follow the LORD and obey His Law will never be forgotten! So who is your god? Proclaim the Good News of our Messiah! Proclaim it from your mouth today!
